HIRING PROCESS:
Facilities: Applications can be turned in at any time but we typically hire at the end of each semester (November & April) for positions for the following semester.
Intramurals: Applications can be turned in any time. Hiring is typically done prior to each sport season (August, October, January, February).

Sport Officials set up equipment and referee intramural contests. They provide a safe, fun environment. Officials must know and implement Intramural Sports policies, procedures and playing rules in order to maintain an appropriate level of control, fairness and safety. They should maintain a positive attitude and should always be striving to improve. No experience required. Training provided and there are opportunities for additional sports related work off-campus.
Pay rate: $9.00-$10.00 per hour. this is a work-study eligible position.
Hours: Flexible. Intramural games are typically played Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Shifts are generally two to four hours. Officials are expected to work at least one shift per week. Schedule is created each week based on employee availability. Officials are eligible to participate in Intramurals and officiate.
The Intramural Sports Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of select Athletic Facilities on campus—including opening/closing facilities, supervising Intramural competitions and providing leadership and development to Intramural officials and scorekeepers. At events, they will enforce Recreational Sports policies and procedures with participants and spectators, set up and break down events, and provide assistance to spectators. They will complete daily supervisor reports, roster checks, and other documentation. Intramural Sports Supervisors also serve as a first responder in the case of an emergency.
Pay rate: $10.00-$11.00 per hour. This is a work-study eligible position.
Hours: 2- to 4-hour shifts, mostly in the evenings and occasionally on the weekends.
Facility Attendants are usually the first person a member sees when entering any of our recreation facilities. They greet members with a smile and friendly attitude and create a safe and welcoming environment while providing proactive customer service on the fitness floors (cardio, strength, and functional areas). Duties include offering equipment orientations, educating members on facility policies, keeping equipment and areas organized, cleaning strength and cardio equipment, and serving as a first responder in emergency situations. Facility Attendants must attend all scheduled staff meetings, in-service trainings, and one-on-one meetings. They communicate regularly with the Facilities Graduate Assistant and report to the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation.

Pay rate: $9.00-$10.00 per hour. This is a work-study eligible position.
Hours: Typically two to four hour shifts starting as early as 5:30 am and going as late at 11pm. Weekend hours are also available. This is a temporary position, subject to renewal at the beginning of each semester. Students are expected to work during some holidays and break weeks. Students may not work more than 19 hours per week.
Student leaders responsible for the daily operation of select Rec Facilities on campus—including opening/closing facilities and providing leadership and direction to Facility Attendants. They will enforce Campus Rec policies and procedures with patrons, answer questions about facilities and programs and provide point of sale assistance to customers needing to pay for intramurals or other programs. They will complete daily supervisor reports, equipment maintenance reports, and other documentation as needed. Student Leaders must attend all scheduled staff meetings, in-service trainings, and one-on-one meetings. They communicate regularly with the Facilities Graduate Assistant and report to the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation.

Climbing Wall Assistants primary responsibility is to provide a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all users of the wall. They strive to provide an atmosphere and environment that welcomes all climbers. Staff should possess at least a basic level of knowledge in climbing technique, equipment and have a commitment to learning and teaching skills to support all types of climbers.
Job Requirements & Expectations:
Warmly greet patrons and facilitate all climbing activity policies and safety procedures
Ability to work with others, communicate clearly and maintain a professional attitude
Ability to teach effective climbing techniques
Demonstrate an understanding of safe spotting techniques for bouldering
Ability to teach and test safe belaying skills
Inspect and clean equipment
Assist with route Setting
Pay rate: $9.50-$10.00 per hour. This is a work-study eligible position.
